International Treasury Forum
FTA's Inaugural International Treasury Forum in Review
A large number ofsenior finance and treasury professionals from leading corporations from Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and the UK attended the inaugural one-day FTA International Treasury Forum held in Sydney on Monday 4 April.
The forum is being structured to highlight the latest international thinking, information and issues for Australasian Treasury professionals. Presenters in 2011 include:

Topics discussed included:
- International Treasury function models – centralized vs de-centralised models and lessons learnt from the respective frameworks
- International funding considerations including debt/equity mix and taxation drivers
- International transactional banking arrangements, bank guarantees, trade policy, and workingcapital solutions
- Fair values of fixed interest assets (sovereign and corporates) in relation to macroeconomic variables, an Asia-Pacific focus
The welcome dinner was a casual, yet intimate affair held at Woolfies down by Sydney's iconic 'Rocks'. It was a great opportunity for delegates and presenters to catch up, network and meet new contacts prior to the conference.

The FTA is delighted to announce that the International Treasury Forum will become a yearly feature on the calendar given 90% of Forum survey respondents indicated that they would attend in 2012.
